Akua Aboabea Aboah - Baffoe

Managing Director

Akua Aboabea Aboah – Baffoe, joined the management board of Sambus Geospatial Limited after the passing of her dad (Mr. Samuel Kenneth Aboah, founder of Sambus Group) in 2013. She gained her leadership skills and management knowledge by attending numerous corporate management and governance courses at the University of Cambridge and the University of Harvard, by working at the law firms Bentsi Enchill and Letsa and White and Case LLP in London and trained extensively on GIS and Remote Sensing Application. She is very optimistic about the future of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria and is passionate about the possibilities of African governments to better plan and finance development, thus reducing poverty through incorporation of GIS technologies in governance and policymaking.

Sambus at the Africa Geospatial Data and Internet Conference (AGDIC)

AGDIC served to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to geospatial, open data, ICTs and Internet in Africa. Sambus Geospatial Ghana, with policy-making powers across sectors in Africa participated to discuss, exchange information and share good practices with each other.

Sambus GIS Day 2019

Sambus Geospatial Ghana honored some individuals who contributed to the development of GIS Technology in various industries on the world GIS Day 2019 to increase the awareness of GIS in Ghana . The event included Participation in Geo- Conferences and honorary presentations and social endeavors.
