Assistant Training Officer

The Assistant Training Officer supports the Training Officer in executing all GIS workflows and meeting the training needs of client organizations and their end-users. The role includes providing comprehensive assistance to the training team in planning, organizing, and delivering geospatial training modules. Working with the GIS Training Officer, the unit will also implement new workflows that align with market needs and sales requests.

• Work closely with other departments to execute projects and software training for client organizations and end-users.

• Support in developing training schedules based and client requirements.

• Assist supervisor to ensure trainings are delivered in the best possible ways

• Maintain training records and support trainers during sessions

• Follow-up on client satisfaction with training sessions

• Ensure after-sales value additions to clients and resolve complaints within 48 hours

• Achieve positive customer support ratings

• Ascertain the needs of customers, promote the relevant products, and demonstrate clearly how the products work

• Assist with curriculum development and conducting research on emerging geospatial technologies. Assist the sales to with modules, prices, and proposals when needed.

• Perform any other job-related roles assigned

• A bachelor’s degree in Geography/Remote Sensing/GIS/Surveying or related discipline
• A minimum of 3 years of training in the Geospatial Domain
• Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company’s products work
• Be proficient in the use of Remote Sensing and GIS software, most especially Esri and NV5 Harris software
• Extensive GIS systems training, knowledge and experience.
• Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
• Have at least one Esri technical certification or other Similar certifications
• Ability to work with people with different backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to identify and follow up on leads
• Exceptional skills in selling products and closing deals
• Knowledge of Relational database management (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
• Excellent presentation skills and professional appearance
• Knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS
• Analytical skill
