What’s New in ArcGIS Experience Builder Developer Edition (version 1.11)

ArcGIS Experience Builder developer edition is a powerful platform for creating custom web apps with minimal or no code. With the release of version 1.11, developers can build and extend their web apps faster than ever before. Let’s take a closer look at the new features in this release.

The Add Data Widget

One of the major additions to version 1.11 is the Add Data widget. This widget allows users to add data layers to their web apps directly from ArcGIS Online, making it easier than ever to incorporate new data into your app. Users can search for layers by keyword or browse by category, and the widget provides options for setting layer properties and symbology. This feature was introduced in the February release of ArcGIS Experience Builder in ArcGIS Online and has now been incorporated into the developer edition.

Advanced Select UI Component

Another exciting addition to version 1.11 is the Advanced Select UI component. This component allows users to choose from a list of options, either predefined static values or dynamic values from data. Users can search the list and select one or more options, making it a useful tool for creating forms and other interactive elements in your app. This component is available in Storybook, the UI component playground used by ArcGIS Experience Builder.

Release Versions Table

The About Release Versions table has been updated in version 1.11 to help developers make decisions about which version of the developer edition to use when creating custom widgets for ArcGIS Enterprise. The table displays information about the latest releases of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and the developer edition, and can be used to determine which version of the developer edition is compatible with the version of ArcGIS Enterprise that you will deploy your custom widgets to.

When adding custom widgets to ArcGIS Enterprise, it is important to choose the right version of the developer edition. If your customization leverages the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, it is recommended that you use the version of the developer edition that uses the same version of the SDK as your ArcGIS Enterprise deployment.

Version 1.11 of ArcGIS Experience Builder Developer Edition is an essential update for developers who are building and extending their no-low code web apps. With the addition of the Advanced Select UI component and the About Release Versions table, developers can build their applications much faster and more efficiently while keeping their custom widgets compatible with the latest versions of ArcGIS Enterprise.
